Information you provide directly

• Subscription information: email address, and any name or contact details you choose to provide when subscribing to the newsletter.
• Payment information: processed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We receive transactional metadata (date, amount, last four digits of card) but not full payment card details.
• Communications: information you provide when you contact us by email or through any form on the Site.
• Survey responses: information you choose to share when you participate in a subscriber survey, feedback request, or comment thread.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, approximate geographic region, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages visited.
• Email engagement data (opens, clicks, time of engagement) when you receive emails from us, where supported by your email client.
• Cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies (see Section 5).

We do not knowingly collect special categories of sensitive personal information (e.g., government identifiers, biometric data, full financial account numbers, health records) through the Site.

Section 05Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party service providers use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site:

• Strictly necessary cookies support core functionality such as session management and security.
• Analytics and advertising measurement may use cookies, pixels or similar technologies to understand Site use, measure subscriptions and evaluate advertising. Providers may include Beehiiv and Meta Platforms when enabled.
• Email tracking (pixel tags and tracked links) measures open and click rates for emails we send. You can suppress email tracking by setting your email client to not load remote images.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Disabling certain cookies may limit some Site features.

Where required by applicable law, non-essential cookies and analytics technologies are used only with consent.

The Site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. There is no widely-adopted standard for how to interpret these signals, and we treat all visitors consistently regardless of the presence of such a signal.

We respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California law provides additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information. When advertising measurement is enabled, certain cookie or device data may be disclosed to providers such as Meta Platforms. Depending on applicable law, this may be considered sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may opt out using available cookie controls or by contacting [email protected].

EU / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

EU and UK residents have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

Section 07Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:

• Subscription data is retained while your subscription is active and for up to 24 months afterward, unless longer retention is required by law (for example, to handle disputes, refunds, or tax records).
• Payment records are retained as long as required by applicable tax and accounting rules (typically up to seven years).
• Analytics data is retained in aggregated or de-identified form.
• Communications are retained as long as needed to address your request and maintain a record of correspondence.

The Site and Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Consult Us, LLC is based in the United States. Personal information we collect is processed in the United States and may be processed in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.

For transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards including, where applicable, the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
